The Art of Hand Embroidery “In your own words” 14+ yrs
Have you always wanted to learn embroidery or maybe just brush up on long forgotten embroidery stitches? Embroidery has been created for hundreds of years to embellish clothing or household linens, or simply as decorative pieces. It is a way to create ‘pictures’ with a needle and thread. As well as looking decorative, embroidery is a brilliant way to relax and de-stress.
The best part of this design is that you are able to personalise the design by inserting and stitching your own chosen saying/quote, or even just stitching your name/year. As the pattern says – ‘In your own words’. It is your personal choice on what you insert in the centre of the design. The pattern even has a list of sayings for you to choose from if you need any suggestions on what to stitch.
The finished design is framed in the embroidery hoop that you use to stitch your design, so framing is easy and quick to sort, making this an ideal gift for someone.
