Dungannon’s first ever Jingle Ball Run is due to take place on Sunday December 18, with 10,000 balls due to be released down Castlehill, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone at 5.30pm!
This exciting display of colour is a ‘race to the bottom’ with prizes to be doled out for the winning balls! Each ball will be individually numbered in order to identify the winners.
The prizes for the first to cross the line include £200 Mid Ulster Shopping District Gift Voucher for 3rd place, £300 Mid Ulster Shopping District Gift Voucher for 2nd place and the ultimate prize for the ball in 1st place is £1000 in cash!
Participants can purchase balls via the website here or you can purchase balls with select local traders within Dungannon Town Centre. Just look for the Jingle Ball Run poster in the shop front window!
All funds raised from the Jingle Ball Run will be shared equally with St. Vincent de Paul, The Vineyard Food Bank Appeal and Zambia Education and Development.
Chair of the Council, Councillor Cora Corry has described the event as a “great way to bring families and the community together and to get people into the town to support local shops and businesses”.
With the event taking place on the last Sunday before Christmas many traders are expected to be open to the public for normal Sunday trading hours – the perfect excuse for some last-minute Christmas shopping before the event kicks off at 5.30pm.
