Niamh Louise Foundation launch their new book, Chemicals in my Brain.

The Chair and Deputy Chair of Mid Ulster District Council recently visited the Niamh Louise Foundation as they launch their new book, Chemicals in my Brain.

Chair, Councillor Paul McLean said:
“I was honoured and delighted to receive the new book by the Niamh Louise Foundation, meet the dedicated team and have a tour of the facilities.

“This foundation is providing a much needed and valuable service to our community. The book which is a collection of stories from families who have been bereaved by suicide or have survived suicidal thoughts is worthy of reading and I trust it will make us all more aware of the signs we need to look out for of those in need around us.”

Deputy Chair, Councillor Christine McFlynn added:
“I received a warm welcome from everyone at the foundation during my tour of the premises and thanked the staff and volunteers for their commitment to help others in need.“As we ease out of the pandemic, there will be more people in need than ever before, and so I can’t think of a better time to launch this book. I would like to congratulate everyone involved in creating ‘Chemicals in my Brain’ and thank the families for their courage in sharing their stories. By doing so I have no doubt you will help so many.”

“We wish the Niamh Louise Foundation every success with their new book and the fantastic service they provide to those in need, touching the lives of so many.”
