Multi-agency meeting held to address community concerns over Coalisland Canal Walk

Mid Ulster Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) held a multi-agency meeting to address the community concerns in the Coalisland Canal Walk area.

The recent meeting brought together local Councillors, PSNI, Council, NIHE, PCSP Independent Members, and EA Youth to discuss and implement measures to decrease incidents and increase community safety.

As a result of the meeting, a number of actions have been put into place, including increased patrolling by local police, CCTV coverage, and local community engagement.

These measures seek to decrease incidents and provide an improvement in the overall safety of the area.

PCSP Chairman, Councillor Dominic Molloy said, “This is an example of how organisations can work together to address the concerns of local communities.

“The meeting and subsequent actions will make a real difference in Coalisland Canal Walk, providing residents and visitors with a safer and more secure environment.

“The PCSP is committed to ensuring that communities across Mid Ulster feel safe and we will continue to work closely with our partners to maintain this progress.”

The PCSP is dedicated to promoting community safety and will continue to work closely with local residents and stakeholders to maintain and build on the progress made to date.
