Tributes paid to popular Tullygiven resident who was full of ‘fun, generosity and faith’

Tributes have been paid to valued Tullygiven resident, Nellie McNeice, who has sadly passed away.

Nellie, (née McVeigh) was the dearly beloved wife of the late William, mother of John and Margaret and sister of the late Peggy McVeigh, Daniel, Michael, Joseph, James, Cornelius and Annie (Fox).

All Things Eglish community page shared their condolences upon hearing the news of Nellie’s passing, stating: “Nellie was always full of laughter, fun, generosity and faith.

“She will be missed by her children John and Margaret, friends and in particular her many neighbours.

“Anyone who ever visited her home was always greeted with a warm welcome and found it hard to leave without tea and refreshments. Her hospitality will always be remembered. May Nellie receive eternal rest”.

Many others also took to social media to share their sympathies and fond memories of Nellie, one person said: “Sorry to hear about Nellie, she was a lovely woman and always had time for a wee chat…may she rest in peace. Condolences to Margaret and John on the loss of their Mother.”

Another posted: “Sad news indeed…Nellie was a lovely lady and a native of Killyman.. sympathies to the McNeice and McVeigh families.”

Nellie’s remains will repose at her home, 211 Rehaghy Road, Brantry, Dungannon until removal at 10.15am on Saturday to St. Patrick’s Church, Eglish for 11.00am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Parking for the wake at Sean Jordan Engineering, a bus will run to and from the house.
