Halloween is back with a bang in Mid Ulster

Mid Ulster District Council’s programme of Halloween events and fireworks displays will make a triumphant return to the district at the end of this month.

All events are free and no booking is necessary.

Dungannon

Market Square and Hill of the O’Neill

Friday October 28, 6pm – 8pm with fireworks at 7.50pm.

Activities include:

6pm – 7.45pm at Market Square: Face painting, Balloon modelling, Character walkabouts, Fire/LED performers, Halloween themed workshops (arts & crafts activities), On stage entertainment with DJ, Competitions and giveaways, and Halloween themed photo opportunity props.

Fireworks firing at 7.50pm from Hill of The O’Neill.

This year’s fireworks will be low debris and low noise making them more environmentally friendly than ever before while still providing the same high-quality display.


Cookstown
Mid Ulster Sports Arena
Saturday October 29, 6pm – 8.15pm with fireworks at 8pm.

Activities include:
kiddie’s amusements, face painting, inflatables, fire jugglers, spooky train, merchandise stalls, confectionery and hot food stalls, and much more.

Please note: Car parking will be available at Loughry College Campus (limited spaces available onsite), and access is solely via the main entrance to the college of the Cookstown/Dungannon A29 road.


Maghera

Maghera Leisure Centre and St Patrick’s College Playing Fields

Monday October 31:

Halloween Hooley at Maghera Leisure Centre 4pm – 7pm with fireworks at St Patrick’s College Playing Fields at 7.30pm (gates open at 7pm).

Activities include:

4pm – 7pm at Maghera Leisure Centre:

Party Playhouse, Quad Pods Rides, Bungee Trampolines, Fire Performers from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, Amusement Rides, Jump Jiggle and Jive Dance sessions, Face painting, Balloon Modelling, Halloween Walker, Glitter Tattoos, Indoor Softplay and Indoor inflatables.

From 7pm at St Patrick’s College Playing Fields:

Fire Performers from 7.00pm to 7.25pm

Fireworks Display at 7.30pm

Accessible car parking will be available at Maghera Leisure Centre (limited spaces available onsite). Car Parking will also be available at St Patrick’s College and the main car parks in Maghera town.

Monday October 31: 6pm – 9.30pm with fireworks at 8.45pm.

Amusements 6pm – 9.30pm

Community activities will also take place during the week.
