Mid Ulster District Council’s planners are currently considering an application for the erection of a pig fattening unit near Ballygawley.
The application was submitted by agent Bernard J Donnelly on behalf of the applicant, Mr Gervis, on December 14, 2020.
If approved, a pig fattening unit capable of accommodating a maximum of 600 pigs will be erected approximately 60m north of 19 Ballynanny Road, Ballygawley.
The area of the proposed site is 0.158 hectares and the land is currently used for agricultural purposes, according to the planning application form.
