Highly regarded Stewartstown resident Jeannie Newell will ‘never be forgotten’

The close-knit Stewartstown community have in the last few days come together to offer tributes to highly valued resident, Jeannie Newell.

Jeannie, who had been a committee member with active community group Stewartstown in Bloom, sadly passed away on Tuesday December 27.

Community group Stewartstown Life described her as ‘a very hard worker within the community’ and ‘much loved in the Stewartstown district’.

Jeannie was a highly-regarded employee of Fairfields Care Centre, Cookstown with one colleague describing her friend as: “an amazing person and absolute pleasure to have worked with” and another stating: “Jeannie was a lovely person, a lady and pleasure to have known as a work colleague”.

Those who knew and loved her have described her as ‘always happy and smiling’, ‘a dear friend who will never be forgotten’ and ‘a lady’.

Jeannie will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Kenny, her loving children Gillian, Trudy, Leanne and Robert and the wider extended family.

Jeannie’s funeral Service will be held in Donaghendry Parish Church, Stewartstown today, Thursday December 29 at 2pm, followed by interment in the adjoining Churchyard.
