Short, Samuel John Kenneth (Ken). The family of the late Ken Short who passed away April 22, 2021, wish to express their heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to all their family, friends and neighbours who sympathised and supported them through their recent bereavement.
Thanks is extended to those who provided food, sent messages of sympathy through cards, letters, telephone calls and beautiful flowers and to those who gave donations in lieu of flowers to Molesworth Presbyterian Church.
Thanks to everyone who took time to line the funeral route and to the family members and dear friends who attended the funeral service and to those who watched the service online.
During the funeral service, thanks was extended from the family to Rev Tom Greer for his kindness over the years, to Molesworth Presbyterian Pastoral Team, to Roy Maxwell for his pastoral visits and David Bayne the family elder, to Clarke Hill and James Thompson for their practical help for the funeral service and to Sam Cuddy and Roseanna Hunter for playing such meaningful music, to Derek Short, Ken’s brother, for providing flowers from his own garden for the church and to all Ken’s lifelong friends.
Thanks to the doctors and nurses from Mid Ulster Healthcare, to the district nursing team, the ambulance service, to all staff of C7 Antrim Area Hospital, to the carers from Homecare and Ann’s Homecare who carried out their duties so efficiently with great dignity and compassion and to Sarah Kelly for her impeccable support.
Thanks also to the undertakers, Fred Martin and Sons, for carrying out the funeral arrangements in such a professional and dignified manner and to John Spratt, Ivan Forsythe and Moneymore Presbyterian Church.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we hope that this expression of sincere gratitude is accepted by all.
