McNally (née McKernan), Rosaleen. Finbarr McNally, the son of the late Rosaleen McNally RIP, would like to thank all those who sympathised with him at the time of mother’s death. He wishes to express his most sincere thanks for all the help, support and generosity which he received during his sad bereavement; to all those who called at home, telephoned, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, posted messages of condolences on social media, sent floral tributes, brought food or helped in any way; to the many friends and neighbours who joined the funeral cortege to pay their respects; to all those who attended Requiem Mass in person or joined via the church webcam.
Heartfelt appreciation and thanks go to Fr Paddy Hughes for the lovely Requiem Mass. A special word of appreciation to Gerry Loughran for the touching music and singing. Gerry took great pains to ensure that Rosaleen’s favourite hymns were included. Sincere thanks as well to Fr Owen O’Donnell, former Parish Priest of Kildress, for his ministry to Rosaleen over the years.
As Rosaleen’s health declined over the months prior to her passing there were many people who looked after her medical needs and care. Finbarr would like to extend his thanks and appreciation to all of these people; to the doctors, nurses and receptionists of the Oaks Family Medical Centre, with a special word of thanks to Doctors Alistair and Pauline Brown who were so supportive on the night that Rosaleen died; to the doctors, nursing staff and ancillary staff of Antrim Area Hospital; to the nursing and ancillary staff of Drapersfield House Care Home, where Rosaleen spent her last few days, and who were most helpful to him at the time of his mother’s passing; to the staff of Kingdom Health Care who visited Rosaleen on a daily basis; to the personnel of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service; and to those relatives and neighbours who helped to provide care for Rosaleen in her home.
Thank you to Funeral Director, Kieran Kirk, and his staff, for their professional, compassionate and dignified service during such a difficult time. Thanks also to those who dug the grave and who tidied it up after the interment.
Appreciation goes to Seamus McNally for providing welcome refreshments after the burial and to Kildress Wolfe Tones GFC for the use of their clubroom facilities.
Finbarr hopes this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as it would be impossible to express his appreciation individually.
Rosaleen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph’s Church, Killeenan at 7.30 pm on Monday May 2, 2022.
The Mass will be streamed live on the church webcam.
