Stewart, Robert. The wife and family of the late Robert Stewart who was called home on May 8, 2021, wish to record their deep appreciation to all who supported them in their recent bereavement.
The Ambulance Service of Northern Ireland attended Robert with the utmost care immediately after his fall and we are thankful they were able to lessen his pain.
The Doctors at Craigavon Area Hospital assessed his injuries and transferred him into the care of The Royal Victoria Hospital. During his time in both the Regional Intensive Care Unit and the Fracture Ward we were most impressed by the level of care given by Consultants and Nursing Staff. This exceptional care was shown both to Robert’s medical needs and to our emotional needs at this difficult time.
It was of great comfort to us to have the prayers of prayer groups both locally and in England and Scotland along with our many family and friends who faithfully remembered us in prayer day and daily.
A special mention is due to the Molesworth Prayer family coordinator who diligently posted up-dates enabling our church family and those they updated to pray accordingly.
We are indebted to our wider family both those who attended the Thanksgiving Service in person and those who joined us by watching the live stream on YouTube.
We appreciated your presence with us. Further to that we are grateful to James Thompson and his team for making the live stream available.
We would like to thank those who paid socially distanced visits to our home with food and flowers, sent cards including unique handmade creations. It was heartwarming to read the letters and to hear the anecdotes about Robert. All of these cards and letters brought us much comfort.
We are very grateful to all who have honoured Robert’s memory by their generous donations to Molesworth Presbyterian Women and Chest, Heart and Stroke.
Our spiritual needs were fulfilled by Rev. Tom Greer and Mr Roy Maxwell, Pastoral Assistant, both of whom were most attentive to the family over the three weeks of Robert’s hospitalisation.
We thank Mr J. Bryan Dunlop for providing the music for the Thanksgiving Service and to those who made themselves available for stewarding duties.
We thank those who stood along the funeral route to Moneymore, your presence was greatly appreciated.
Our grateful thanks to Gortagilly LOL 868 Coronation Lodge who provided a respectful guard of honour for their former Chaplain as his remains arrived at the graveside.
We thank Helen from D. Watters Funeral Services for the professional and caring way all the arrangements were carried out.
We trust this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our heartfelt and sincere appreciation.
