Acknowledgement for the late Mary Morris (Newtownstewart)

Morris, Mary. The family of the late Mary Morris, Legnabraid, Newtownstewart, wish to thank everyone who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. Thanks to all our family, friends, relatives and neighbours who called to the house, sent Mass and sympathy cards, floral tributes, brought refreshments and food and helped in any way.

Thank you to all who attended Mum’s funeral Mass, in person and online, and all who would have liked to attend but were unable to due to Covid restrictions.

We were very touched by all our friends, family and neighbours who waited by their roadsides to acknowledge Mum’s final journeys to and from Legnabraid.

Thank you to Fr Kevin McElhennon for administering the Sacrament of the Sick, and Frs Roland Colhoun and Damian Bresnahan who celebrated Mum’s funeral Mass. Fr Roland’s tributes to Mum at the Mass and again at her Month’s Mind Mass were appreciated by us all.

We thank the staff of Altnagelvin, Omagh County Hospital and Hillcrest Nursing Facility for their care of Mum since December 2016.

We thank everyone who visited her. We thank the doctors from the Sperrin Family Practice and Strule Medical Practice who looked after Mum. We sincerely thank Bernie Maguire and Michael McGurk who provided the music and hymns at the funeral Mass.

We thank the stewards, in particular Naomh Eoghan CLG. Thank you to Paul Gallagher and Padraig Doherty of Gallagher Funeral Directors and Michael McCullagh, gravedigger, for carrying out their duties in such a professional and sensitive manner.

The holy sacrament of the Mass has been offered for your intentions and to remember our dad, Bill Morris, and Mum’s son-in-law Jim McCrisken, both of whom pre-deceased her.
