Hughes, Mary (nee McGuigan) Mary Jo, Francis, Katherine, Caroline and the extended family of the late Mary Hughes, Gortnaglough, Brocagh, wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love and support shown to us during our recent sad bereavement. Our heartfelt thanks to the many relatives, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and extended family circle for their kindness sending Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy, telephoned or sent condolences via social media and for all those who lined the funeral cortege route or stood in the graveyard during the funeral in such a dignified way in line with current restrictions. Thank you to Brocagh GAA for support in management of this on the day of the funeral.
A special word of thanks to Canon Benny Fee for his support and prayers, especially in the last few days and giving the last rites in such a comforting and gentle way in the last hours, as well as the celebration of Requiem Mass. We would also like to thank Fr Mc Callion for his prayers and support and for First Friday visits. We would like to thank Ursula and Grace O Hanlon and Niamh Hughes for their beautiful music and singing. Thanks to Brian Quinn for kindly recording the mass and putting it on Clonoe Gallery for those who could not attend.
We are so grateful to the undertakers, Hugh and Dermot Quinn and for their dignified and sensitive approach and the professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements, especially in these difficult times. We would also like to thank the gravedigger.
In particular we would like to thank neighbours, relatives and friends who gave so generously of their time and care in so many ways, especially in the last number of years and for which we are truly grateful. We look forward to a gathering of family and friends to remember our mother’s life in a way we would have liked to but were unable to within the present circumstances.
We would also like to thank Stewartstown Health Centre, Kelly’s Pharmacy and Coalisland Health Centre District Nurses, HSC staff, SHSCT Domiciliary Care staff, Ann’s Angels, for their care over the years as well as Marie Curie over the last two days.
The family would like to convey their sincerest gratitude to anyone who upon our request sent donations to Clonoe Apostolic Association of which Mary was a member for over 40 years.
As it would be impossible to thank individually all those whose kindness has brought such comfort to us, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere thanks. Mass will be offered for all of your intentions.
Mary’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 19th at 6.30pm in St Patrick’s Church Clonoe. Due to current restrictions, it will broadcast HERE
