McElhatton, Martin. (London and formerly of 6 Corvanaghan Cottages, Dunamore). May 31, 2021 “Rest in peace” Martin, a much-loved Son, Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle, Brother-In-Law, Cousin and best friend.
We his family, Dad Eamon, Mum Teresa, brothers Patrick, Desmond and Micheal, sisters, Mary Teresa and Bernadette would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us throughout Martin’s short illness and very sudden passing.
We shall be forever grateful to all of the dedicated medical teams of Hammersmith Hospital, London who cared tirelessly for Martin and accommodated our family visiting.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust for the dignified manner to which Martin was brought safely home to Corvanaghan, our heartfelt appreciation for all their help and assistance during this very hard time for our family.
We would like to express our appreciation to our relations, neighbours and friends who helped us in so many ways.Those who called at our home, telephoned, sent messages, cards, and the flowers and brought food. To Kildress Wolfe Tones GAC , Fr Rocks, GFC Cookstown, Enda from KE Plumbing and Kevin from McAleer & McGarrity for all their assistance during Martin’s wake. To Raymond and the staff of the Millwheel Bar & Restaurant for providing the delicious meal afterwards.
Our family would like to thank those who touchingly lined the route of Martin’s funeral, attended the church, to those who remained outside or watched it on webcam. To Fr Paddy Hughes who celebrated Martin’s requiem mass and remembered him so fondly. Also to Gerry and Agnes for the beautiful singing in the chapel and Cloughfin Pipe Band for the instrumental at Martin’s graveside.
Special thanks to Joanna from Niall A. Loughran Funeral Directors for the amazing service they provided to our family. Working closely with the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust to ensure Martin’s timely return home, thank you for the professionalism, compassion and kindness shown to all our family. To the grave diggers who prepared Martin’s final resting place in Dunamore.
We trust this acknowledgement shall be accepted by all, especially if we have not mentioned anyone individually.The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass shall be offered for everyone’s intentions.
Martin’s Month Mind Mass shall be celebrated on Friday July 9, in St. Mary’s Church, Dunamore at 7.30pm Alternatively, the mass can be viewed HERE
