McGarvey, Eugene. The wife, daughter and sons of the late Eugene McGarvey wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent bereavement.
We offer our sincere thanks to Fr. Slater and Fr. Boyle for their spiritual support and to Fr. Boyle for celebrating the Requiem Mass. A special word of thanks to the Church Sacristan, Altar Servers and to Andrea Begley for providing the music which made Eugene’s Funeral Mass so special.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped care for Eugene in his final weeks, particularly his dedicated team of carers from the Northern Health Care Trust, District Nursing Staff and NI Hospice Staff. We appreciate the care you took in your role. We express our thanks to the doctors and staff of Loy Medical Centre, Belfast Cancer Centre, and the staff of Falls’ Pharmacy.
We thank all those who supported our family. We are grateful to everyone who called at our home, expressed their condolences via telephone/social media and sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and letters. We took great comfort from this. We were strengthened on the morning of the funeral by the support of everyone who lined the funeral cortege route, joined us at the Chapel, and by those who viewed Eugene’s funeral Mass online.
We would like to thank Niall A Loughran Funeral Directors for the efficient, dignified, and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
It is not possible to thank everyone individually but we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Eugene’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday April 18, 2022 at 10am in Holy Trinity Church, Cookstown and can be viewed here
