We are currently recruiting for: Welding supervisor
– Reporting to the operations manager and Senior Management, the Welding/Fabrication supervisor will lead teams of welders to complete projects on site to customer specifications.
– The supervisor will be responsible for organising the work and reviewing the overall quality of the team’s work and ensure any rework required is completed before moving work to the next stage of the production process.
– The supervisor will be responsible for safety, quality and output of the area and will provide daily updates at production meetings.

Key duties and responsibilities:
– redesigning the manufacturing production process through a structured lean methodology approach and orientate the organisation to achieve an increased overall equipment effectiveness.
– standardising the design of new products.
What you will need to succeed:
– degree level qualification in manufacturing engineering, industrial manufacturing or equivalent
– demonstrated Knowledge of Lean operations environment
– driving license
– legally permitted to work in the UK

– Reporting to the Welding Supervisor and Senior Management, we require experienced Welder Fabricators capable of working within a team-based environment to meet strict deadlines.
– Candidates must be able to use own initiative to get work completed on time and to the correct quality.
– Need to have a pro-active approach to work.
– Must have the ability to read and understand 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
– Previous experience within a heavy plant industry would be advantageous.
