A new state-of-the-art community hub is being planned for Coalisland.
The development has been earmarked for a site adjacent to the Gortgonis Sport Pavilion.
Proposals have been drawn up by Mid-Ulster District Council and will be considered by the local authority’s planning department.
The site, at present, is described as a “community recreation area”.
The development, if approved, would boast floorspace of close to 5,500 sq ft.
The application comes in “substitution” of a previously approved building on site.
Among other things, drawings indicate a large main meeting room, as well as kitchen, lobby and storage, together with changing accommodation, toilets and showers.
